What's the Story? Woodstock Magazine and Here in Hanover serve the Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire. I have written about a historic bank barn that has found new life as an event space, the Forest Canopy Walk at VINS, a resident who marries her passion for quilting and fly fishing, a local band's journey to its first album, a driving tour that uses a 1937 guidebook for inspiration, an artist with a unique take on Vermont's iconic structures, and other regional people and businesses.

What's the Story? Haynes Ownby was an abstract painter active in Provincetown, Massachusetts and New York City from the 1950s to 2000. In 2001, the Cape Cod Museum of Art held a retrospective of his work. Through the Hans Hoffman Trust, I was asked to write a profile of the artist, focusing on the early years of his career.
